Well, there is a sense of accomplishment over here at Fish Tattoo. This is my 100th post up here. That's the first real milestone I have hit. Some of the posts have been good, some...not so much, but they have all been important to me in one way or another.
Many of y'all have read a few of these posts, some have read many, and a few have read every single one. Thanks to everyone who has read anything up here. Through Fish Tattoo, I feel like have have gotten to know a few of y'all and made a few new friends. I hope some of y'all feel like you have gotten to know me a little bit more. Maybe some of y'all would even consider me a friend. Thank y'all for reading and following.
I was going to find something really "cool" to write about. I thought about writing about beards, Guadalupe Bass, or a thousand other things, but nothing could fit what I wanted. I wanted something different and I know it is corny but I wanted something special. I just couldn't find what I wanted to write about.
My last thought was to write more about myself. Maybe give you a little more insight into who I am -- to try and explain why I fish, who I am, and why I care about our waters. It was the best that I could come up with and I wanted to get something in. So, I sat down tonight and started writing. I got through the first paragraph, then the second, then started on the third. In the last paragraph and a half, I have just decided that I am changing the title of this post from "Who I Am," to "100th Post - Thank You."
I finally found what I am writing about, and now I am just rambling on. Really though, I write for two reasons. One, because I like to write, and two, because y'all have been so kind and receptive to what I have put on the computer. I wouldn't be writing posts if I didn't see more and more people reading, more and more people commenting, and more people following all the time. Thank y'all again. Thank you so much. I appriciate it.
I hope that y'all continue to read, and I hope I can continue to entertain, inform, and teach you. If I start to slip, if my writing sucks, or if you find it boring, let me know. If you still like what you read or if it helps you catch more fish, help spread the word. Maybe we can continue the growth.
I am working on a few things for y'all. The "beer" post should be done and posted in October. That series will be fun. I am also working on a picking the interviews back up, wanting to add in a monthly book review (that can maybe turn into a discussion if a few of y'all want to read too,) and of coarse I will keep up my usual conservation and instruction posts.
Thanks again for reading. Y'all make me smile.
