Switching Gears

Since the end of this year's tournament season, I have withdrawn a little bit from fishing big waters for big bass.  I have instead focused more on river fishing.  However, it is now time to quickly shift gears back to big water, big bass fishing.  A tournament is just around the corner!

I will admit, I was a bit burnt out of tournament fishing in June, and needed some peaceful, soul-searching, river floating and fly-casting.  I was setting out to catch small fish--the Guads typical of my Hill Country Rivers.  It was good.  My mind has been cleared, my aim re-focused.

It is time to start gearing up for a Bass Tourney on O. H. Ivie.  I am ready to get some big bass on my measuring board.

  1. Good Luck Man... tournaments are pretty over up here, but I'm already planning the ones I help run for next year!

    1. This is a single event. The Fall is a great time to bass fish down here in Texas.
