A Busy Week

I have got a busy week this week, and it all starts today with my wife's birthday!
Happy Birthday, Dana!
But the stuff y'all care about is my busy fishing week.

Well, tomorrow morning, early, I am loading the Jackson Cuda into my Truck, along with 5 or 6 rod/reel combos, a milk-crate full of gear, and clothes to last me for 3 days on the water (in varying weather conditions) and a river kayak fishing presentation.

Thursday will see me wake up early and hit the road.  Hopefully for a little saltwater fishing sight-fishing for some redfish...hopefully.

Followed up that night with a presentation I am giving to the Laguna Madre Fly Fishers of Corpus Christi.  I will be presenting on kayak river fishing for bass.  I will be talking about catching Guadalupe and Largemouth Bass in the rivers of Central Texas.  I will also have t-shirts, hats, beanies, decals, etc., to give away at the presentation.  It should be a good time.  Anyone is welcome.  If you are interested in attending, the meeting will begin at 7:00.  I will have a 20% off discount code for anyone who attends the meeting.  It can be used on rods, artwork, or whatever I have that you want.  Here is link to their website: http://lagunamadreflyfisherscc.com/

Friday, I will wake up to do a little more saltwater fishing.  Hopefully I can catch something since I have no idea what I am doing in the salt.  Luckily, I think I might have a guide taking me out that morning.  When I get off the water, I will be driving to New Braunfels, TX, to watch my wife coach her High School Girls basketball team in the regional tournament!  Go Lady Angoras!
Go Lady Angoras!

I will spend the night somewhere in Central Texas, maybe in my ENO hammock on the banks of Lake Bastrop, because Saturday morning in tournament #2 for the Kayak Anglers Tournament Series.  It will be held on Lake Bastrop, so I expect some good stringers.  P. H. Kellner - Quality Custom Fishing will be sponsoring this event, donating a custom crankbait rod.  Here are a couple sneak preview pictures:

If you want to see more of the rod, or even win it, you need to come out to the tournament.  I should have a booth displaying a few rods and some artwork.  I will also be offering a 20% off discount code to be used on your own custom rod(s) or artwork, to anyone who comes by and talks to me at the tournament.  You will need the instructions that I give you to use the code.

So, hopefully I catch some fish and meet some great anglers this weekend!
