So, for the first and maybe only time, I will post something non-fishing related. This is about music:
If you don't know. I write music. Nothing famous, I have never tried to publish or record it, but I think it can be good.
Twista, the fast rapper, once invited me on stage with him. I declined because I didn't really know who he was at the time.
I want the bands, the Bellville Outfit and Whiskeytown to reunite.
Ben Nichols: Last Pale Light in the West = Great album. First time I have ever wanted to read a book because of listening to an album. You will too (especially if you like the stories of Cormic McCarthy)
NPR Tiny Desk Concert...check them out. All of them.
Walt Wilkins, one of my all time favorites, is either great or not so good. No in-between there.
Country music radio...WTF? And I don't cuss.
90's rap, I can listen to, and enjoy from time to time. Some rap from today is intelligent, but you often have to dig.
90's country was usually good, but rarely great.
Stevie Ray...seemed liked he enjoyed music more than anyone I have ever seen.
This one might piss you off: 90% of the time, someone from Texas is better.
The Old 97's probably = the best of all time. Really, I love what they do.
Alt-Country (and all it's subcategories) is superior to the rest.
George Strait, dude, what are you thinking. You used to be amazing.
Jimmie Rodgers is the father of all good music. (not just country...there were some before him, I know, but all good "popular" music from today goes through him.
That is all for now.
Avetts NPR TDC = epic
